Owner and Web Developer, Bob Brock, began his computer-related career in 1990 as a graphic designer and typesetter for a rubber stamp and signage company in Fresno, CA. He became fasinated by the Internet after transferring to Sacramento, CA in 1996. Having built his first web site on a Mac using PageSpinner, Bob soon became proficient in the use of HTML and offered his newly found talents to his current employer. Over the next few years, he helped maintain the company's web site while continuing to learn more about the Internet.
In 1998, Bob was given the opportunity to work for Apple Computer in Elk Grove, CA. He soon found himself involved with the tools development team for Apple's World Wide Contact Center, building web tools for the exclusive use of their phone agents and managers.
In 2003, the opportunity presented itself for Bob to create River Media. Over the years, he has been fortunate to see his vision realized: "To help organizations be more productive". Creating web tools to help organizations succeed is what we do. Whether you're a startup looking to create your first online presence or an established organization looking for ways to exploit the growing functionality of the Internet, our development expertise can effectively bring your business to the Web.
Facilitated by personal one-on-one attention, we build easy to use sites that allow our clients to effectively interact and communicate with their target audience. Experience has taught us that success on the Internet lies in the details: global functionality, intuitive navigation, timely content, and proper representation of the company, brand, and product.
A personal note from the Owner
The name River Media, was chosen because I felt God using a metaphor of a river in my life during the summer of 2002. Picture the last time you went swimming; Have you ever felt that you were paddling as hard as you can and when you look to see how far you've gone, you see the same shore? Now picture three different scenarios; a person either standing (or sitting) on the shore, a person in a lagoon paddling and splashing around, or a person swimming as hard as they can up stream.
This was the existence of my life... trying as hard as I could, I was going no where. God showed me these things and it became so clear, I need to get out into the river. Even if you just float, it will carry you where ever it goes. I felt God saying, "go with me my child, quit fighting the current, get off your back-side, stop splashing in the pool. I have things for you to do and people to minister to." I'd like to say that my life took a complete turn, but I'm hard headed. I slowly began to make changes in my life, and since that day, I feel that I have come closer to where God wants me to be. Suffice it to say, God will speak to us, if we listen. Then it's our choice to put it into action. This message has stayed with me and I believe it helped me to start this business.
That's it, I try to keep it simple (most of the time). I hope that my declaration has not offended anyone, God's word states: "If anyone is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels." Luke 9:26 NIV
Thanks for stopping by and God Bless!
